SECRETS WE KEEP LIMITED SERIES REVIEW 🤩

SECRETS WE KEEP surprised me. I thought I had this limited series all figured out until my theory fell apart at the very end. Audiences are left with a chilling discovery as the story is bookended with the same scene. Bravo. I enjoy being wrong occasionally.

SWK is a Danish production voiced over when necessary, in English. The Philippine community also has a huge connection to this story. It moved quickly, and each episode ended with intriguing new info to keep audiences coming back for more. I binged the entire series in one afternoon. I had to find the answers to my questions.

The plot highlighted areas I had no experience seeing or feeling. The Danish locations were gray, which reinforced the idea that nothing is just black or white in this world. Each kernel of truth revealed kept destroying more and more foundations with massive cracks. It never stopped. No one hit out unscathed.

The actors involved were compelling. Their pasts were brimming with lies and deception. I felt their angst and confusion, even though I did not agree with their choices. All of this contributed to entertaining moments with emotional highs and lows.

SECRETS WE KEEP is an excellent thriller that deals with racial discrimination. It is a gripping tale. I sincerely hope this is not what goes on behind every closed door.

SECRETS WE KEEP I is streaming on NETFLIX.
