RUN AWAY is limited series based on Harlan Coben’s, best- selling, murder mystery novel. It is a gritty tale that takes viewers through the twisted, surprising details when a family and a mysterious cult keep deadly secrets. Fair warning…don’t get attached to anyone. Being honest and truthful within relationships is not the name of the game.
RUN AWAY’s cast boasts several heavy hitters and maintains star power. James Nesbitt, Minnie Driver, Alfred Enoch, Ruth Jones, and Amy Gledhill will keep audiences glued to each episode. The pacing and tone are realistic and will justify binge-watching. I know I did. A good, sordid, complicated story is not easy to find in this particular genre. I love it when ethical lines and boundaries are blurred. It will make viewers wonder what they would do under similar situations. Is keeping secrets always the way to live your life? This is a tough call after finishing the final frame.
RUN AWAY is good entertainment if you thoroughly enjoy the search for who did it and where all the bodies are buried. Coben is a master at creating rich, multi-layered characters who aren’t always what they appear to be.
