After the atrocious episode last week, RICK AND MORTY returns to what it does best – action, humor, and gross-out comedy. There’s nothing especially different about E9, but it’s “heaven”-sent compared to anything related to the Numbericons.Â
The highlights this week were three things:
- Heaven – The creators turning Heaven into a roguelike game was sheer brilliance.
- Bigfoot – Complete with an obscure HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS reference!
- Poké Balls… I mean “Popeball.” 😆

- “I’m dead Rick.”
- “Any f*cking idiot can believe in the afterlife.”
- “See, this is why religion sucks. Infinite energy, and the pope uses it to levitate like Chris Angel.”
While there’s zero plot progression in E9, it’s enough fun to tune in for a good time. Here’s hoping the season finale sticks the landing.
