When starting the latest R&M, I thought, “Ugh, not a Summer-focused episode.” But then, I took Morty’s advice and “opened my mind” for a semi-enjoyable spoof on one of the craziest action SCI-FI films ever made (which I’m not going to spoil here).
I’m still rooting for RICK AND MORTY to return to the main subplot instead of one-off episodes. Yet, I can’t fault the creators for taking small steps to show how Rick’s emotional arc continues to evolve. In WET KUAT AMORTICAN SUMMER, audiences will learn what Rick thinks of Summer and how he feels about Morty. That tiny revelation and the action are enough to make it worth watching.

So, tune in to episode seven and watch the battle of intelligence versus strength as Summer finally learns what the hell a Kuato is.
