If anyone doubted if the new voice talents would have any chemistry with the old, there’s nothing to fear as the latest episode teams up Rick and Jerry for a body-swapping… I mean, a brain-swapping episode. THE JERRICK TRAP does little to move the plot forward for the show’s characters. However, it’s okay to do that occasionally when the action and humor are so much damn fun. What’s keeping this episode from being a 🤩 is the convoluted ending that hits the same story beats a bit too much before things (as always) return to normal.
Whatever your “rake situation” is, I encourage you to “chug” down this episode. It’s a reminder of what RICK AND MORTY can be. Fresh, funny, and full of genre spoofs while not veering too far into gross-out humor.
