RICK AND MORTY S7E1 HOW POOPY GOT HIS POOP BACK 🤮

The best RICK AND MORTY episodes are a mix of genre-spoofing comedy, and the worst are gross-out episodes that do little to move the plot forward. Despite a comic-book-sized cameo, the season seven premiere lacks originality and humor. It’s an empty vessel of genre spoofs that ends up running out of gas long before the lawnmower does.

A lot has been said about the recasting of the voice actors on the show since Justin Roiland was kicked off of it. And even his unique voice talents wouldn’t be able to save this “Poopy” episode.

While the characters in RICK AND MORTY want to do an intervention, it’s time for the creators to do one on this series. The formula has been the same for seven seasons now, and while that’s funny, they will need to reinvent the wheel at some point. If not, they may end up with a lot of fans at the “F*ck You’s” bar, pissed off at where this once great TV show ends up.

The season premiere is available on Adult Swim.
