RICK AND MORTY take a blast to the past and explore dinosaurs. Unfortunately, the results are mixed with a few funny one-liners and a meandering plot around do-gooder dinos. In other words, JURICKSIC MORT should’ve been left extinct. Â
So, why doesn’t it work? Having a superior being do good for an entire twenty-three minutes is an excellent 180 from the standard RICK AND MORTY plot. However, it proves to be downright dull.

- “We’ve become biological Tyler Perry movies.”
- “How often are you WESTWORLDing me?”
- “Welcome to life. It’s a big boat with a lot of holes, but we are all in it together.”
The creators attempt to pull off “clever girl” worthy jokes, but instead, they end up “making some noise” that isn’t funny. RICK AND MORTY is now officially on hiatus for a month. It’s a bummer to see them go out at a low point. Here’s to the time off, creating enough space for the final four episodes to go out with a bang.
