PRESUMED INNOCENT S1E8 THE VERDICT 🤩

PRESUMED INNOCENT gave viewers a spellbinding, intense finale. It was a veritable treasure chest of superb performances that led to a twisted conclusion.

Scott Turrow knows how to create and pace a courtroom novel perfectly, as does David E. Kelley and J.J. Abrams, who created this made-for-television series. The extra beats and breaths left this reviewer biting every fingernail while waiting for THE VERDICT and its aftermath. It was so dramatically compelling and an actual out-of-body experience. It is not easily forgotten.

Jake Gyllenhaal, Ruthie Negga, Bill Camp, and Peter Sarsgaard outdid themselves. Their performances held us in the palm of their hand with their brilliant acting. The final arguments were riveting and explosive. I had to tell myself to breathe while waiting for THE VERDICT to be read. It all makes me want to reread the novel one more time. Kudos to everyone. Powerful TV is a gift and does not happen very often.

PRESUMED INNOCENT gave us a smidge of the future. At this point, I am unsure how to let go of the visions still lingering in my brain from their past and present.

It is streaming on Apple TV+.
