ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDINGย had a somewhat inconsistent second season. Every episode was well-written and funny, but at times too much โtalky-talky.โย
I think we were spoiled the first season. OMITB was different and unique. The banter and improv between Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez was off the charts. In season two, the show split the trio apart many times. However, they are at their best when working together in the same room. The trio is a dream team. Their timing is impeccable and fresh and leaves me on the floor laughing out loud. There were running gags throughout each episode that also made me roll my eyes while continually smiling. I hope next year they stay together more often.ย
The finale was a highlight of the season. It was a writerโs delight because most of the ensemble was together, giving the audience a great send-off until next year. Watching their performances is like taking a master class in comedic acting. It is truly priceless. Where else could an acting student learn the โba-ba boomโ of each joke?ย ย
ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING endedย with an excellent cliffhanger that will take the trio out of The Arconia and into another building. It looks exciting and intriguing. Murder follows them no matter where they go. Love it. I canโt wait for their return to Broadway.ย
