NIGHT COURT spent some time talking about “treat Tuesday,” but in reality, it wasn’t. It was JUST TUESDAY and not a very humorous episode.

The “thing” that made NIGHT COURT work decades ago was the beautifully crafted dialogues filled with zaniness, empathy, and profound flickers of wisdom. The current reboot is giving viewers sheer silliness and sappiness. Not the same at all. The sitcom has so much potential. The ensemble is filled with acting talent. They just have not found their direction or intention. Maybe “their issues are clogging their judgment.”

NIGHT COURT has me in a conundrum. I am the optimist, so I will continue for a week more. I am rooting for them, but I also hate wasting my time. It is available to stream on NBC/ Peacock.
