The latest season focuses on workplace culture, as only MYTHIC QUEST could do. It’s the most underrated and consistent comedy on TV (now that WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS is done). Just as the first two episodes of season four had a “breakthrough” with its lead characters, the latest takes a step back to more familiar filler territory.
E3 did have one highlight: the always hilarious Danny Pudi as Brad educated his “mentors” about the value of money. The lessons were laugh-out-loud, and the on-brand humor audiences have come to expect from Pudi since his COMMUNITY days.
Elsewhere, the “warrior within a day” and “stay in bed” sitcom plots didn’t reach their full potential. They weren’t bad; they just weren’t up to the level of quality that audiences have come to expect from MYTHIC QUEST.
MYTHIC QUEST’s fourth season continues on Apple TV+ weekly.
