MASTERS OF THE AIR shared stories of last week’s big battle. The aftermath was chilling. So many men who were here today and then just gone with the ping of enemy bullets was mind-altering. It was, indeed, a sobering episode.
It was no wonder that the writers wanted to showcase the lifestyle of a World War II bomber pilot. Finding joy every day was the name of the game, and it didn’t matter where or how you found those fleeting seconds. It was a brutal reality nestled between high anxiety and depression. It was a miracle our “boys” survived at all.
MASTERS OF THE AIR takes a simple theme and delves deep within its borders and boundaries. Well-done. I vow I am not getting attached to anyone on this show, but I am compelled to witness the history of our Air Force. It is streaming on AppleTV+.
