LOOT migrated backward, with a birding experience that felt forced and inauthentic. It was an episode that pushed every relationship button. It really was not funny, nor up to the caliber of last week’s sweet chapter covering Molly’s (Maya Rudolph) life and maturity.Â
LOOT has been very inconsistent this season. It feels like the writers aren’t sure what this show was initially intended to be about. The strength of its comedy is in the entire ensemble, and when they are banded together to use Molly’s billions for good. There have been far too many side-tracks taken. Sometimes doing silly stuff is okay, but I feel like I am on a pogo stick, continually going up and down concerning Molly’s money and her love life. It does get old.Â
LOOT is losing its hold on me. I hope I can make it to the end of the series and then say sayonara.
It is streaming on Apple TV.Â
