LIFT is another Kevin Hart action spy thriller film that begs the question, why is he wasting his time and ours? It is predictable and at times painful to watch with all the story holes and heroic efforts to “save” lives.
Let me say that I adore Kevin Hart. He can lead me to easy laughter, but this “wannabe” heist is easily forgettable. There is no depth to the characters and often the fight scenes are confusing ending with silly celebrations back to his yacht. “Puleeze.” How much can viewers suspend their disbelief?
LIFT does not lift its audience to any worthwhile heights. It is pure fluff. Perhaps it should have been denied “liftoff.” It is streaming on Netflix.
