If you are a motorhead and are excited to watch LAMBORGHINI: THE MAN BEHIND THE LEGEND, stop right there because it is nowhere near the levels of FORD V FERRARI or RUSH. Instead, the directors seemed to assume that the mere mention of the Lamborghini name would be enough to carry the film, neglecting to provide any real depth to the story.
LAMBORGHINI: THE MAN BEHIND THE LEGEND pacing was painfully slow, with long stretches of dull scripts, pointless chapter breaks, and just inconsistencies in filming production.
The structure of LAMBORGHINI: THE MAN BEHIND THE LEGEND felt disjointed and poorly organized, jumping from one topic to another without any real sense of direction. One moment we were watching old footage of Ferruccio Lamborghini’s life growing up (rags to riches), and the next, we were listening to some random talking about the Lamborghini factory, with no real sense of how any of it fits together. They thankfully kept it factual to the names who assisted Lamborghini and a nod to Ferrari.
Unfortunately, LAMBORGHINI: THE MAN BEHIND THE LEGEND felt like a wasted opportunity… A film that could have been so much more but ultimately failed to deliver any real substance.
If you’re a diehard Lamborghini fan, you might find something to enjoy here, but I’d recommend steering clear of this disappointing film for everyone else.
