I WILL FIND YOU is a limited series thriller based on Harlan Coben’s novel. Coben is a New York Times best-selling author. His books always offer intricate plot twists while featuring a plethora of smart, multi-layered characters. This film does not disappoint, especially for fans of Coben’s writing.
At the helm is David (Tom Worthington). His tense journey to uncover the truth about his son drives every scene. I found his acting to be believable, yet his physicality was stiff. I needed to feel more, but even so, he still got my attention and empathy. A strong supporting cast surrounded him. My favorites were Max (Chi McBride) and Sarah (Logan Browning). Their chemistry as father/daughter was fun to watch. Their conflicting points of view added humor and realism.
I WILL FIND YOU was exciting and will hold the audience’s attention. It told a good story with a strong pay-off in the end. It is pure escapism, and there are moments where a butt load of disbelief will be necessary, but hey, it’s summer.
