HOUSE OF DAVID S1 REVIEW ๐Ÿ˜Š

HOUSE OF DAVID is a creative and imaginative depiction of the ancient bible story about David, King Saul, and a legendary giant aptly named Goliath. The producers took great liberties and changed the story to suit their plot. At times, it was convoluted and even a little far-fetched. The writers must have had a field day pulling these eight episodes together and still managing to end on a cliffhanger that never took place in reality.ย

David was played by Michael Iskander, who was believable as a young shepherd. He had a sweet voice while singing his poetry to God and accompanying himself on the lyre. He was small in stature, especially when standing next to his stepbrothers and the mighty Goliath.ย ย King Saul (Ali Suliman) performed crazy very well. His intense facial expressions for being on the edge of sanity were compellingly he, but my favorite character was Samuel (Stephen Lang). Great make-up and prophecy declarations made him the most credible of all. โ€œItโ€™s not about the greatness of giants. Itโ€™s about the greatness of Gods.โ€

HOUSE OF DAVID annoyed me at times. I would have thought the stories from the Old Testament would have been perfect enough for any TV series. I guess I was wrong.ย

HOUSE OF DAVID is streaming on Prime Video.
