HOME ECONOMICS - “Speeding Ticket, $180” – Sofia brings out Tom’s adventurous side which ignites Marina’s jealous side. Meanwhile, Sarah and Denise learn that Shamiah has been confiding in Connor instead of them, leaving them no choice but to take action, on an all-new episode of “Home Economics,” WEDNESDAY, NOV. 3 (9:31-10:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. HOME ECONOMICS is all about finding the spice in a marriage. Is it important to change the essence of who you are when married?

Tom (Topher Grace) has to travel to Puerto Rico for researching background material on a book he is ghost-writing. His boss, Sophia, challenges him to take more chances and become a dare devil. After all, “You only live once.” Cue Thomas’, the Latin lover.

The other subplot concerned Uncle Connor (Jimmy Tatro) and Sarah’s (Caitlin McGee) pre-teen daughter. Is it okay for kids to get advice from others and why can’t children talk to their parents about everything? That’s a question for everyone who has a child.

This episode had its humorous moments with Thomas’, but I have to say, I miss the rhythm of last season’s scripts along with the opener this year. The show is just floundering a bit. I am hoping for a comeback next week.
