HAPPINESS FOR BEGINNERS offers nothing new to see. It is a film that didn’t need to be made except for the jobs it created for the crews.
The movie has a strong cast featuring Ellie Kemper, Luke Grimes, Nico Santis, and Blythe Danner. How could it go wrong? Easy to answer…the writing. No surprises, lame dialogues, and no emotional highs. It was truly a waste of my time to watch. It was obvious from the start where viewers were all headed.
HAPPINESS FOR BEGINNERS should have been funnier or even more dramatic. Neither direction was taken. I guess I am not a beginner at finding my happiness. It is available to stream on Netflix.
