FRAZIER (Kelsey Grammer) has been rebooted years into the future. His son Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott) is now all grown up and living in Boston…enter FRASIER for a whirlwind, life-changing visit.
My first question about this new series is…why? Does every successful TV show have to be revisited and resurrected from the comedy graveyard? Can’t the “powers that be” just leave well enough alone? FRAZIER was a wonderfully entertaining sitcom that featured a memorable ensemble of highly talented actors. None of them will be present in Boston, although they all are mentioned like old friends.
This new cast is blah and unnecessary. The writing was just okay, and I hate hearing faked or forced audience laughter. I loved my old FRASIER memories. I chuckled for years, watching their crazy antics. I wasn’t hooked or interested in Dr. Crane’s new journey, so that I won’t revisit this new neighborhood anytime soon.
