Aaron and Esta review the latest season of FOR ALL MANKIND. Aaron thought it was “lost in space,” whereas Esta was kinda sucked into its gravitational pull.

Here’s their season breakdown:

E1 GLASTNOST ๐Ÿคฉ

FOR ALL MANKIND opened its fourth season with a blast-off of intriguing new storylines and enough excitement to keep my heart racing. Gone are the slower, ploddingย moments from last year. We are focused on the future and anything is possible.

E2 HAVE A NICE SOL ๐Ÿคฎ

“I know this show can do better. Iโ€™ll stick around to figure out if it does, but right now, Iโ€™m right back where I was last season with my love/hate relationship of FOR ALL MANKIND and changing my relationship status to โ€œitโ€™s complicated.โ€

Aaron

E3 THE BEAR HUG ๐Ÿคฎ

“This season just feels โ€œoff.โ€ I want more missions and explorations. This was the key to FOR ALL MANKIND in the past. My imagination has not been hooked. Sorry, Margo, it just wasnโ€™t enough. I want to love this show again. I need more sci-fi action.

Esta

E4 HOUSE DIVIDED ๐Ÿคฎ

We are four episodes into the new season of FOR ALL MANKIND, and so far, it has been a waste of โ€œspace.โ€ Look, Iโ€™ve complained A LOT about this show. And again, itโ€™s because it has the potential to be a top ten TV series every single year. Yet, once again, the writingย killsย all meaningful plot progression in HOUSE DIVIDED.

Aaron

E5 GOLDILOCKS ๐Ÿคฎ

“FOR ALL MANKIND is continuing its trek through the sludge of all talk and no space action. It is getting harder and harder to stay focused and stickย to the story.

Esta

E6 LENINGRAD ๐Ÿ˜Š

“While LENINGRAD doesnโ€™t add much in the way of space thrills, it does return to focusing on the seriesโ€™ main characters โ€“ Margo Madison (Wrenn Schmidt) and her protรฉgรฉe Aleida Rosales (Coral Peรฑa). That focus makes the show much more watchable, even when we get ridiculously contrived scenes and plot threads that will make the audience grimace.

Aaron

E7 CROSSING THE LINE ๐Ÿ˜Š

“FOR ALL MANKIND was far more exciting and intriguing than in recent episodes. It wasnโ€™t so much the cast was discovering and exploring but instead engaging, arguing, and planning. It was entertaining.

Esta

E8 LEGACY ๐Ÿ˜Š

“While LEGACY doesnโ€™t escape the gravitational pull of how awful season four has been, it does semi-blast off into orbit with an episode that kinda-works, thanks to the OCEANโ€™S 11 heist-like plot.”

Aaron

E9 BRAZIL ๐Ÿคฉ

“FOR ALL MANKIND finally pulled it all together for an exciting, compelling episode. BRAZIL delivered what my colleague, Aaron,ย and I have been waiting for all season. All I can say is itโ€™s about time.

Esta

E10 PERESTROIKA ๐Ÿคฎ

“That was it? Really, FOR ALL MANKIND โ€“ your huge build-up all season long was for the ridiculous showdown on Mars? FOR ALL MANKIND usually has a fantastic opening episode and an exciting mini-movie to close it out. Yet, season four substitutes that for one of the worst conclusions.
