FLY ME TO THE MOON ๐Ÿ˜Š

FLY ME TO THE MOON is a light-hearted, sweet rom-com with serious historical overtones. It shares a look back at a very tense and competitive year when the race for landing on the moon was at its all-time high. The outcome of this part of the story is set in stone, but the journey surrounding those high-octane seconds really kicks this film into high gear.

Scarlett Johansson as Kelly, the PR marketing guru at NASA, played her character as a quick-thinking woman, brilliant, and a stupendous liar. She was beautiful and sultry while working her magic upon Cole (Channing Tatum). He never stood a chance, but their chemistry had a bumpy path to the final splashdown. Their fast-bantering dialogue was fun and kept both on their toes. The writers were not hesitant about making them both highly intelligent. This made the movie even more interesting and entertaining.

The set details were spot-on, depicting the 1960s and 1970s. Costumes and wigs were something most of us try to forget, all while being very accurate. The music took those of us of a certain age down memory lane. The ensemble rounded out with the talents of Woody Harrelson, Ray Romano, and Anna Garcia.

FLY ME TO THE MOON was a clever, creative film that felt bright and hopeful when dealing with gender inequality. Enjoy the โ€œfantasy.โ€

It is available on VOD.
