I cannot wait any longer to share my opinion. EVIL rocks my world. This simple show about faith, science, demons, hope, reasoning, bravery, revenge, fear, and pure evil is the best at what it does. I secretly wish the series would go on and on forever. This is how well-produced and performed this series is.
The brilliant ensemble includes Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, Andrea Martin, Christine Lahti, and Michael Emerson. They are mesmerizing in their roles. I would suspend all thoughts of disbelief while gazing at their characters get into such dangerous, messy, and human situations. The storylines are outrageously serious, surprising, and funny at the same time. It is pure escapism and totally entertaining to watch.
I also must mention the incredibly inventive way each episode is introduced, complete with personal messages to viewers and EVIL handprints popping on screen amid the haunting music. It gets me every time. Michelle King and Robert King are absolutely amazing.
