DOWN CEMETERY ROAD S1 E1-E3 ๐Ÿ˜Š

DOWN CEMETERY ROAD is a mystery thriller series that stands on the shoulders of the fabulous Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson. They are the glue that binds the plot together and will encourage audiences to come back for more.

The speed and tone of DOWN THE CEMETERY ROAD are fast-paced and snarky. The writers have ensured Thompson remains bitingly sarcastic as she desperately tries to find answers about a surprise murder victim. Her character (Zoe) doesnโ€™t take no for an answer. She bull-dozes her way everywhere. This is a great contrast for Wilsonโ€™s portrayal of Sarah. Their scenes together and apart will keep viewers on their toes, struggling right along with them to find out “who done it.” They are a clever match-up.

The problem so far is the storyline. It just keeps growing and getting more and more complicated. It is spreadingย character arcs all over the place, but, to be fair, ย it is only at the beginning. I am hopeful that all the many threads can be tightened and pulled together. Time will tell.ย

DOWN CEMETERY ROAD was very exciting in the first two episodes. The third was more of a filler. I am hooked and intrigued. Iโ€™ve got my money on Thompson. She is entertaining and divine.

It is streaming on Apple TV.ย
