DOWN CEMETERY ROAD S1 SEASON REVIEW ๐Ÿ˜Š

DOWN CEMETERY ROAD was an exciting, action-packed thriller. The strength of the entire series rested on the shoulders of Emma Thompson as Zoe and Ruth Wilson as Sarah. The writers packed this series with conspiracy theories and government-cover-up storylines. It also concluded with the possibility of another season.ย

The big problem with this show is how much suspension of disbelief is necessary throughout all the fight sequences. Two petite actresses physically battling the bad guys’ physiques was at times hard to swallow, even though it was very entertaining. The complicated plot was at times inconsistent, and there were several filler episodes that didnโ€™t move the story arcs forward.ย

DOWN CEMETERY ROAD in the end did deliver. The British humor helped keep each episode subtle, sarcastic, and ow-key whenever the action became too intense. For me, the draw was the leading ladies. They both had their shining moments of getting revenge and taking matters into their hands. Who can’t resist feminine power?

It is streaming on Apple TV.ย
