DOCTOR WHO is starting over again with a new Doctor guiding the Tardis through the entire universe. The Doctor is portrayed by Ncuti Gatwa from SEX EDUCATION and BARBIE fame. His interpretation of the last Time Lord is fresh, fast-paced, and highly spirited.
DOCTOR WHO has been around to watch over the world’s timeline since the late sixties. Each actor who is lucky enough to be The Doctor takes a moment or two to adjust to the new character and quirky behavior.
The first three episodes were no exception to decades past. The writers made sure to explain and present valuable information so new viewers could become fans. The Tardis and the Doctor’s wardrobe is brighter and more modern. Even the necessary “screwdriver” has been updated. It is very flashy now and no longer a tool or weapon that just stays in a pocket. All of these changes will entertain people of all ages.
DOCTOR WHO’s sidekick is introduced as well. Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) is a high-energy, breathless young woman who compliments The Doctor. She holds many secrets within her past and is connected to the galaxy in strange and wondrous ways. They are a dynamic duo with their funky, fun wardrobe and silliness.
DOCTOR WHO already has featured adorable space babies and iconic singing legends. The villains are outrageous and creative which makes for a great start. I am excited to continue my journey with The Doctor once more wherever he lands his blue “phone booth.” It should be a spectacular romp through time and space. It is streaming on Disney+.
