DEMON BOX was another entry in the Spokane Jewish Film Festival. It is a 14-minute short that wallops a huge punch to the audience.
The film deals with the demons that follow Holocaust survivors throughout their lives, and how it affects the children and future families that follow. It is a generational trauma that must be told. But the question is how can anyone explain that horrific historical event in human terms? It is impossible. Thus, it is difficult to keep the lid on the DEMON BOX tightly closed.Â
THE DEMON BOX expresses the writer’s thoughts about trauma and suicide. It is imperative to find ways to discuss the aftermath of World War II before all the survivors are gone. The clock is ticking. Â
