DAYS BETWEEN REST is playing at the Spokane Jewish Film Festival, and I had the opportunity to see an early look. Here’s my spoiler-free take:

DAYS BETWEEN REST is a short film (11 minutes) presented at the 2026 Spokane Jewish Film Festival. Although it is brief, the movie packs a powerful punch, filled with fascinating content and inspiration.

The film features Grammy Award-nominated Rachel Namadosi as she reflects on Uganda and offers insight into her country’s growing anti-Semitism against the local Jewish community. Her joy every week is celebrating Shabbos with her congregation. Their voices are strong and united. They celebrate who they choose to be with kindness and love in their hearts. It was a powerful few minutes listening to the prayers and songs that echo across our world.

I learned so much watching DAYS BETWEEN  REST. Who knew there were seventeen synagogues in Uganda? Knowing who you, and accepting others is the key to achieving peace. I was moved by their resilience.
