DAVE CHAPPELLE: THE UNSTOPPABLE…🤮

DAVE CHAPPELLE: THE UNSTOPPABLE…was a colossal letdown. I usually enjoy his bold, outspoken take on the world, but this time, he just wasn’t funny. Storytelling is an art, but rambling is not. It was an eighty or so minutes I can never get back.

It has always been great fun listening and watching Chappelle do his thing on stage. You know you might disagree with what he says every time, but his perception and insight have always been welcomed. This was not the case during this comedy special. Some of the history lessons were interesting, but in the end, they fell flat without a punchline. Perhaps this should not have been billed as a comedy, and that would have been more accurate. At times, Chappelle was even a little apologetic to the audience about getting to the end of his show. He seemed very eager to justify his latest gigs at Saudi comedy festivals. It was all too messy.

DAVE CHAPPELLE: THE UNSTOPPABLE… is not worthy of your time unless you are a true, die-hard fan and will listen to him expound about anything. I miss a different version.

It is streaming on Netflix.
