FROM S3 has been all over the map. Luckily Aaron and Jami reviewed it weekly to guide audiences on their journey to this uniquely frustrating series.…

Continue ReadingFROM continues to be a show that has so much freaking potential, only to continue to fall from grace. I’ve complained every week about the absurdly slow pacing in this series. And it won’t come as a “revelation” to anyone that this week is more of the same. Slow, slow, slow, boring, tedious, and BOOM, the exciting climax hits. My biggest highlights this week: FROM reminds me of my love/hate relationship with FOR ALL MANKIND. A series with a ridiculous…
Continue ReadingAfter last week’s lowest point, FROM returns with another stinker. Rather than move the story forward, audiences get stuck with characters debating diners, guns, and fate. In a previous episode this season, Boyd mentioned capturing one of the creatures. Yet, the creators have abandoned that plot for more time, with Fatima going crazy, Randall and Julie on the road, and Acosta being annoying. I’m all for cliffhanger episodes. And the ending in THESE FRAGILE LIVES will surely change the trajectory…
Continue ReadingEvery serialized TV show has filler episodes. Some are better than others. Unfortunately, SCAR TISSUE is not only one of the worst FROM episodes but one of the worst TV episodes I’ve seen in recent memory. …
Continue ReadingIf FROM were any other network than the little-used streaming service MGM+, this would be a bonafide hit. As is, it’s a little-seen horror series that deserves audiences’ attention this Halloween. I loved the journey of the TV show LOST but hated the destination. I was skeptical when I heard that LOST producers Jack Bender and Jeff Pinkner were reuniting for a horror thriller with former castaway Michael (Harold Perrineau). Yet, I’ve binged and am up to date on the…
Continue ReadingAfter the best episode of the season, FROM returns with a good, not great, edition. I’ll break this review down into those sections Eli style: THE GOOD: THE BAD: *********** I didn’t hate this week. However, I want more monsters, action, and plot progression this season. We are at the halfway point, and as I’ve stated in the past, I know where this show has come FROM, but I don’t know where it’s heading TO. It’s available on MGM+.…
Continue ReadingTHERE AND BACK AGAIN is the best of this season so far, lucky me! Like LOST, FROM has a large cast and the show does switch focus from week to week. Unlike LOST, FROM doesn’t always hyper-focus on one character which is a plus.…
Continue ReadingLast week, I gave FROM the benefit of the doubt and upgraded its filler status with a positive review, hoping this week’s would be a big reveal. Sadly, I was caught in the show’s revolving “mouse trap,” as E3 failed to live up to any of the hype from E2. FROM’s premise and the majority of its likable characters continue to be the reason to watch. However, the series struggles to keep the momentum consistently moving forward. Audiences repeatedly see…
