BANK OF DAVE was based on a true, inspiring story about Dave Fishwick (Rory Kinnear) from Burley, England’s neglected and deprived town. His dream was to open a bank to help the people of his community get the services and jobs they need. It was predictable but also a sweet, heartwarming tale of brotherly love and understanding of what it takes to be there for your neighbors.
The writers gave audiences a touching yet realistic film about the financial world and their greed, wanting to keep it all within “the family.” It showcased the power one man holds inside. With the partnership of an honest, empathetic London lawyer, Hugh (Joel Fry), they make changes no one ever expected. Their scenes felt authentic and realistic. The entire movie was understated and totally believable. The characters were likable and entertaining.
BANK OF DAVE will have viewers cheering for the underdog as if they were attending a Def Leppard concert. It was a high-spirited and cheerful comedy that will leave a smile on your face and a warm fuzzy feeling in your heart.
