AND JUST LIKE THAT…S3E2 THE RAT RACE ๐Ÿ˜Š

AND JUST LIKE THATโ€ฆ is a mixed bag of emotional highs and lows. I yearn for the old days when the fabulous four were always out and about looking for love, drinking their cosmopolitans while being dressed in the most outrageous fashions. When I watch Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, and Seema (the new Samantha) trying to act and dress younger than their years, it drives me crazy. They are still continually lost and confused about their identity. Darren Star (the creator) could give women a gift by allowing and demonstrating how to age gracefully and with class. For me, this series is a missed opportunity, and I am a massive fan of the SEX AND THE CITY franchise, which is the basis for AJLT.ย

One theme this show frequently explores is finding the perfect partner, regardless of gender preference. The result is hating the dating scene even when wearing your usual metallic and animal prints. The actual rat race was way too visual for me. It all boils down to a possible bit of foreshadowing with or without the โ€œfinger ladyโ€™sโ€ suggestions.ย

Please donโ€™t misunderstand me. I adore these women. I have been a part of their angst-filled journey since the beginning, never missing an episode, but now their problems and pettiness seem too trivial compared to where our world is today, especially living in New York City. Their acting and sarcastic comedic timing were perfect as always. I believe the missing ingredient is finally becoming a grownup and owning and living their best lives. AND JUST LIKE THATโ€ฆ it could happen.ย

AND JUST LIKE THATโ€ฆ is streaming on MAX.
