AMERICAN NIGHTMARE is an intense three-part documentary that will astound viewers with facts and butt loads of Police mistakes. It all took place in 2015 when everyone was trying to remake the GONE GIRL plot into reality. Some things are better off only for the movie screen.
Aaron Quinn and Denise Haskins did not deserve the cruel treatment they were subjected to by law enforcement and the press. Sometimes, the truth is strange and unusual. It is not the job of anyone to make a quick judgment call. This is known as “confirmation bias,” and it was witnessed repeatedly throughout the film. Kidnapping and rape deserve more investigation without all the lies and deceit behind the scenes.
What makes AMERICAN NIGHTMARE so riveting is that it actually happened. While watching, I was just as angry and frustrated as Aaron and Denise were. There was so much ineptness and stupidity to believe this could have happened. It is a well-produced movie about their harrowing journey to redemption.
