ABBOTT ELEMENTARY returned for its fourth season with a BACK TO SCHOOL episode. It was a moment of realizing gentrification is everywhere. Each member of the ensemble handled โprogressโ differently, especially crazy Ava, portrayed by Janelle James.ย
The writers did an excellent job of explaining new relationships. Sweet and silly moments will make viewers smile. The cast has matured, and their timing and tone were impeccable. My favorite scene was when the HR guy showed up. Quick-paced bantering made this reviewer chuckle out loud. I wanted to know more about their 2024-25 goals, but this installment gradually eased audiences back into old routines.ย
ABBOTT ELEMENTARY made sure everyone got the message that โthey are not like last timeโฆthey are this time,โ and thatโs okay. I am looking forward to a great school year.
