ZOMBIES 1, 2, 3 🧟‍♂️ 🧟‍♀️

I watched the ZOMBIES trilogy this past week, and I’m “Fired Up” to share my thoughts on the clear successor to the Disney Channel’s HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL. If you’re coming to watch the ZOMBIES films looking for captivating dialogue and a riveting plot, you’ve come to the wrong place. However, if you are looking for catchy songs mixed with some irresistible dance choragraphy, there “Ain’t No Doubt About It” this series is for you.

The series is about a town where Zombies can be controlled through a “Z-Band” so humans don’t have to be afraid of being killed. The zombies’ dream of fitting in and going to Seabrook High School. They are led by the “Exceptional Zed” (Milo Manheim), who dreams of being “Someday” with the equally charming Addison (Meg Donnelly). Despite zombies, werewolves, and aliens, the series is rated G, and there isn’t an offensive or scary scene.

The ZOMBIES trilogy is challenging to rank from best to worst. ZOMBIES 1 has the best songs and weakest plot, ZOMBIES 2 has the best dancing but weaker songs, while ZOMBIES 3 has the best story but the worst songs. Because of this, each film is a 😊, while these five song and dance numbers are 🤩 :

  1.  SOMEDAY – “Extraordinary” and used in all three movies.
  2. BAMM – “Oh, man, oh man, this is a catchy song.”
  3. AIN’T NO DOUBT ABOUT IT  this dance routine has the highest comedic risk factor in the series.
  4. LIKE THE ZOMBIES DO – A four-minute banger.
  5. FLESH AND BONE – This song has to unite zombies, werewolves, and humans. It somehow does that with some slick dance movies.

With lessons about resisting peer pressure, accepting differences, and trying to fit in, ZOMBIES has many relatable themes for teens. I have “Nothing But Love” for films that are this well-meaning, and I think audiences should “Stand” with it. Or, at the very least, watch the music videos on Youtube that I linked above. They all have millions of views for a reason. 🤩

The trilogy is available on Disney+ and Disney Channel.
