There is chaos, craziness, and “Cindy” afoot in the UNITED STATES OF AL. Both Al (Adhir Kalyan) and Riley (Parker Young) have their hands full.
Neither Al nor Riley understands “what goes on in a woman’s head.” The writers are working hard to resolve their relationships. Rooftop chats and road trips seem to be the answer. The two men express their confusion well. Their comedic timing together is an asset to pushing the plot forward and keeping the viewers humorously entertained.
The UNITED STATES OF AL allows all of us to enjoy “mindless” escapism. However, I am ready for a semi-serious episode that deals with the trials and tribulations of assimilating into the American way of life as an Afghanistan refuge.
