NIGHT COUNTRY’s premiere felt like a cross between the supernatural elements of ALIEN, the dark winter setting of FARGO, and the serial killer stylings of anything by David Fincher. That hybrid of genres and Jodie Foster in a starring role should be enough to excite any fan. And I’m happy to report that Part 2 keeps fans enthralled while we wait for the story to “thaw” out.Â
A character in the episode states there are three types of ghosts:
- The ones that want to be heard.
- The others that warn you.
- And the scariest, the ghosts that take you with them.
It’s unclear if NIGHT COUNTRY has supernatural elements. If it does, audiences have yet to learn the type of ghosts in the series. What is clear is even when the show is doing a murder-mystery interview episode with a massive amount of backstory – it’s still a must-watch TV. As for me, I’m all in hoping that Peter Prior (Finn Bennett) learns to ask the right questions.
