TRICK ‘R TREAT 🤩

Night 8 of 13 Nights of Halloween

Do you like scary movies?

It’s time to “be afraid, be very afraid” as SpoilerFreeReviews is dropping 13 spooky movies for fans to enjoy this PSL season. We will be posting our most frightful Halloween favorites over the next 13 spooky nights. So come join us around the fire as we tell our 13 creepy Halloween favorites. 🎃

The Pulp Fiction of Halloween movies! TRICK R TREAT is the epitome of the meaning of the phrase “cult classic”! And a staple on Halloween movie lists the same way A CHRISTMAS STORY is for the holidays. Written and directed by Michael Dougherty (GODZILLA KING OF THE MONSTERS and KRAMPUS), the film embraces campy, dark, and darkly funny horror pulp roots and serves up both trick and treat alike with some delectable twists, inventively demented stories, and viscera all over the place!

Much like vintage TALES FROM THE CRYPT or CREEPSHOW anthology-based horror films, this one is composed of 4 tales of terror. However, Dougherty cleverly connects all of them in the same way Tarantino did for PULP. It’s an intricate web of fun, and has since turned signature creature, Sam (The Spirit of Halloween) into something of a horror icon! Combine that with fun performances from a pre-SUCCESSION Brian Cox, Dylan Baker, and Anna Paquin, and you have a recipe for a really memorable Halloween night! Don’t sleep on this one if you haven’t seen it!

TRICK R TREAT is now available to enjoy on HBO Max.
