THIS IS US tugged at my heart strings remembering past family, Thanksgiving, precious moments. Tears fell freely for the Pearson’s and all the families who face life threatening diseases.
I loved the interwoven montage through the holiday years. So many connections to mothers and daughters everywhere. I saw my life flash before me and I know that was the intent. “Ever have a woman scream at you with her eyes?” Oh, they captured my mom.
What is that “secret ingredient” to maintaining friendships, family ties, and love relationships? How do we stop making our parents the central focus and instead go out and spread our wings? Can we “forge ahead”, “be fearless,” and “take risks?” Rebecca, (Mandy Moore) you are my “favorite.”I can only say “yes ma’am.”
THIS IS US was what we all need to remember. Well-written, poignant, and critical for future episodes. Please slow down these final episodes. I need to savor every second.
