Wow. Iโm unsure if I have grasped the masterpiece I witnessed or even formed thoughts on this. The White Lotus has reached its highest peak and exceeded all my expectations. I am fine with the time this season took to burn because the culmination was blazing. Every character had a perfect end while still following the overarching theme of the episode, is there truly resolution? Some of my theories were correct, and I was mighty proud of myself for even connecting with the brilliance of Mike White’s brain. The Emmys will be a bloodbath this year, as I want every actor to win. I thought Mike White did all he could in the monologue department after episode 5 with Sam Rockwell, but he saved so much for Carrie Coon. It perfectly summarizes female friendships and competition amongst women in general. The ending gives the series just enough closure that the audience cannot doubt what happened, yet enough broadness to let the characters live on in the audience’s minds. Although some storylines are on screen, the audience can take a general guess on how their stories will close. At the end of the day, money wins, and Amor Fati will keep treading its path.
I adored every second of this season and can not believe I must wait years to say it’s WHITE LOTUS Sunday again. This season, cast, plot lines, and Greek-level tragedy have never disappointed me. I am grateful for the universe finally putting me on Walton Goggins, and I will now watch everything he’s ever been in. I will deeply miss my comfort, crazy rich people, and I hope Mike White is furiously typing away a season 4 (but then maybe we can end it after that).
It’s available on Max.
