THE UNION shoulda, woulda, coulda have been so much better than it was, and I am being very kind in my word choice. I should say what a waste of my time. I would say what a terrible disappointment with all the actors involved. I could say what the f**k? I won’t, but if you were a mind reader…holy 💩.
THE UNION boasted top talent such as Halle Berry, Mark Wahlberg, J.J. Simmons, and Mike Colter. The action was fast and furious. If only I could see it clearly as it whisked across my screen at lightning speed. It was predictable and improbable. I could not suspend my disbelief for a moment of such sheer nonsense. The best part was listening to the English audio description version, where the poor voiceover guy had to describe every inane action blip. Kudos to him while keeping a straight face.Â
THE UNION did not represent the best of my government with all its bumbling catastrophes. It was neither funny nor suspenseful. Viewers figured out very early that nothing was going to kill Mark or Halle, no matter how hard their enemies tried. All I can say is…no sequel, please. Once was enough for a lifetime.Â
THE UNION is streaming on Netflix.Â
