THE SINGERS 🤩

Screenshot

THE SINGERS is an amazing surprise. It is a short film, only 18 minutes, that had me moved to tears with unexpected emotions. It is a testament to the human spirit and to how most of us will never know what layers lie beneath the surface.

The director, Sam A. Davis, kept a tight rein on a story written in the 1800’s by Ivan Turgenev. Replacing the moment in current times was pure genius and brought the reality of our society into the light of day. My first thought after watching was what have I been missing when passing by an ordinary dive bar?

THE SINGERS is worthy of your attention. It is a delightful bit of entertainment that speaks volumes about humanity.

It is streaming on Netflix.
