THE PITT S2E6 12 P.M. 🤩

THE PITT delivered a heartfelt shift filled with pain, loss, and a smidge of hope. Every moment was filled with moving from one patient to the next. It literally brought me to tears and kept me wallowing for some time after. “May his memory be a blessing.” Amen.

There are so many moments I loved about this episode. THE PITT is reeducating the general public. Aggressive behavior will not be tolerated. What happens to unclaimed bodies, the gentle, thoughtful placement of a hand, how the nurses work around injustice,  the mighty hot dog, and the peaceful breaths of a baby created buckets of pathos and empathy. And still, there was a shitload of blood and gore most of us never would want to see in real life. I am continually in awe of all the doctors, nurses, and staff. How do they do their jobs every day? The word, angels, comes to my mind.

THE PITT displayed stellar performances from Drs. Robby, Langdon, and nurse Dana. Simple, authentic slices of reality brought into the light. Kudos to the writers for giving everyone such rich, profound words.

THE PITT is a raw, humbling portrayal of humanity’s weakest, most vulnerable moments, while showcasing the wisdom and strength of those who care for us in our darkest need.

It is streaming on HBO MAX.
