THE PITT S2E3 9 A.M. ๐Ÿคฉ & E4 10 A.M. ๐Ÿ˜Š

THE PITT took audiences on a heartfelt, beautiful, emotional ride in episode 3 and then followed up with barely a quiver the following week. It was a mixed bag that left me on a farm without any benefits and I wasnโ€™t accustomed to my heart strings still intact after watching the fourth hour at Philadelphia Trauma Center. I was a little in shock. Perhaps I should sign up for some therapy on zoom too.

Audiences were given a special gift with 9 A.M.โ€™s profound writing. Each patient segment dug deeper and deeper into another layer. Noah Wyle, who also portrays Dr. Robby, wrote a compassionate and insightful script that dealt with survival, grief, and father/son relationships. It is rare to bring up the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting. Tears flowed throughout this extraordinary shift. Every second touched my soul while still pushing the story content forward. I texted my son and just gushed. It truly raised the bar once again.

Thenโ€ฆ10 A.M. began. There was a disconnect in intensity and connectivity. It was a bit disappointing since it was the first time I have ever said the F word while watching.  A fillerโ€ฆwhat a bummer and a loss of momentum. Donโ€™t get me wrong. This latest shift was still good. It had meaningful moments that allowed for educating fans about necessary medical issues, but we are used to greatness each week. I am not ready for anything less. I hope Dr. Robby is listening.

THE PITT is an amazing show. It is one of the best series on television. I know the creators, directors, writers, and actors are guiding all of us on an outstanding journey. Stay tuned and keep those tissues near by. It is streaming on HBO MAX.
