In the best episode yet of THE PENGUIN, Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti) has officially become the MVP. CENT’ANNI is one helluva new edition that takes a step backward, providing audiences with a much-needed “crazy” flashback that allows us to understand how Sofia became The Hangman. It’s beautifully realized and elevates this series to the level of prestige TV reserved for HBO’s previous best-in-class fandom content, THE LAST OF US.
It’s TBD if THE PENGUIN stays afloat through its eight-episode first season. Yet, one thing is for sure – this bird soars above the latest garbage under the DC umbrella.
