THE PENGUIN S1E2 INSIDE MAN 🤩

THE PENGUIN projects what most people believe the mob is all about… drugs, deceit, and death in the most torturous methods. It is a dark look at the inner workings of the seedy side of society.

Colin Farrell, as Oz, AKA THE PENGUIN, is magnificent in his delivery, timing, and characterization. He is an actor’s actor who knows how to immerse himself and totally disappear. Kudos to the hair and makeup department for delivering an amazing result.

The writers have obviously decided that “the only way out of this is through it,” so audiences are being taken on a dangerous, back-stabbing ride. The story includes a closer look at PTSD and dementia. It continually plays with the theme of who really is the INSIDE MAN and how he can remain safe while carrying a knife in his pocket. It is “ a hell of a lot more fun to dance.”

THE PENGUIN is gritty, intense, and intriguing. It is not a sit-back-and-relax show. Viewers should be forewarned that cilantro will not be tolerated.

It is streaming on Max.
