THE OUTFIT ๐Ÿ˜Š

THE OUTFIT was an intense film that spoke volumes about โ€œThe Family.โ€ It was set in the early 50s that showcased realistic sets and suits. The movie continually surprised me.ย ย

THE OUTFIT was an example of heightened suspense due to the superb acting skills of Leonard (Mark Rylance) and Francis (Johnny Flynn). It was so much more frightening when they didnโ€™t say a word. The silences between them were masterful. Those extra beats, the controlled, knowing looks, and the effortless conversation took their scenes to another level. Leonard is a character with nerves of steel.ย

As an added treat, I learned much about what goes into making a custom suit. There are 228 steps to the process. Who knew? More importantly, I was mesmerized by โ€œThe Cutterโ€ and all the innuendoes that follow the cutting shears. THE OUTFIT was a mystery that resolved itself in just one night. Twists and turns were the writerโ€™s weapon of choice. I think I shouted out โ€œholy crapโ€ several times while watching.ย

THE OUTFIT shows the viewers nothing is as it seems. Looking for a โ€œratโ€ becomes all-consuming while being โ€œwelcomed to the family.โ€ Creepy and intriguing.
