THE LAST OF US SEASON 1 REVIEW 🤩

Aaron, Tarush, Jami, Ricky, and Esta review the first season of THE LAST OF US.

We loved THE LAST OF US on HBO MAX. The following is a breakdown of what we said about the episodes we reviewed in season one.

E1: WHEN YOU ARE LOST IN THE DARKNESS 🤩

“Somehow, the show captures everything that made the game great while adding another layer to the story.

-Aaron

E2: INFECTED 🤩

“All in all, this episode felt like a resolution to the events of the last. I’m excited to see what the next episodes will bring, but I’m also a bit afraid (as I should be.).”

– Tarush

E3: LONG, LONG TIME 🤩

There are two obviously talented actors who have just shown up in the series, and 70 minutes later, I’m left wondering – how can it get any better than this? I never thought anything based on a video game could translate so well to the screen.

– Jami

E4: PLEASE HOLD MY HAND 🤩

“The show excels in delivering a different yet consistent tone with each episode. This episode felt like a bridge connecting the gap between what feels like acts one and two of a potentially three-act season.”

– Ricky

E5: ENDURE AND SURVIVE 🤩

“You don’t have to be a game player to recognize greatness when you witness it. “I’m sorry” I wasn’t a part of this world sooner. It is worth every minute of your time”

Esta

E6: THE TIES THAT BIND 🤩

“An aura of wandering and exploration has been folded into this episode that feels so satisfying to watch.”

Tarush

E7: LEFT BEHIND 😊

“THE LAST OF US has already broken our hearts a few times, and we’re not even through an entire season. LEFT BEHIND is no different.”

– Jami

E8: WHEN WE ARE IN NEED 🤩

“When it comes to season’s penultimate episodes, this week’s THE LAST OF US can be counted among the most intense of them.

– Ricky

E9: LOOK FOR THE LIGHT 🤩

“Joel’s love for Ellie grew over the last nine episodes to become that of a parent’s unconditional love for a child. And that relationship has been the core that has pulled viewers through brutal moments to the well-earned conclusion in LOOK FOR THE LIGHT.

– Aaron
