THE LAST OF US S2E6 THE PRICE 🤩

THE LAST OF US filled in the blank spots and missing moments between Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Joel (Pedro Pascal). It tore my heart in half, being a part of such sweet, special times in juxtaposition with their messy, teenage turbulence. The writers gave viewers the power of insight and purpose.

What stood out was the depth of both characters’ acting skills. I was glued to every nuanced facial expression. Their performances were subtle yet said so much more within every silent beat of their dialogues. Ellie and Joel were portrayed with intention and honesty. The story pulled me into their love for each other and their choices. Choices that cannot be changed. There is a magnitude of potential when whispering “perhaps you’ll do a little better than me.”

THE LAST OF US is a must-see TV for video gamers and all of us who could live in a dystopian future society. Perhaps this series, this game, is teaching everyone the rules to survive.

THE LAST OF US is streaming on HBO Max.
