THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW ended its 13th season with the perfect winner. The final bakes were utterly divine. I often wish I could taste some of the fantastic creations the bakers produce with such speed and ease.ย
This was a most enjoyable competition. Everyone was so congenial with each other. No one screamed or shouted. Mistakes were owned and put into proper perspective. The bakers actually care about each other and root for everyoneโs success. They have their feet on the ground solidly. After allโฆ โAt the end of the day, itโs just cake.โ
THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW is fun to watch because of the sincere and honest feedback given by the judges. It is a hoot to see who will get a Paul Hollywood handshake. The atmosphere is also fairly relaxed, thanks to the hosts’ crazy antics. There is true camaraderie among the entire ensemble, even when the tent is steaming with oven heat and Englandโs humid weather.ย ย
If you have never tuned in to watch, what are you waiting for? There are many seasons to choose from. All I can add is enjoy, and now I am inspired to practice making better bread dough and improving the size and shape of my macarons.
